Theme 2
The second theme that we explore at Canopy Forest School is growth. Within this theme participants are invited to explore personal growth including their own growth mindset and natural growth in the world around them.
Everything in nature is geared towards growth and the fulfillment of purpose. Growth takes time and that is why the long-term element of the Forest School ethos is so important. In today’s world of convenience culture, quick fixes, and instant results it is easy to forget that growth is a process and requires the virtue of patience.
Like all of our programmes of study the way in which we cover this theme will be different for every group of students. Their input, ideas, fascinations and interests will fuel the provision but a number of common threads will appear linked to ourselves, others and the environment.
