Nurture Groups

A smaller circle, a bigger sense of belonging

Our Forest School Nurture Groups are strategically implemented to ensure targeted support, allowing students to develop coping mechanisms, interpersonal skills and a renewed enthusiasm for learning. Sessions are delivered on school premises, so pupils stay connected to their school community.

How sessions work

The rhythm of a nurture session

Small, targeted groups

Nurture Groups are strategically implemented to ensure targeted support, allowing students to develop coping mechanisms and interpersonal skills.

Emotional development

We weave emotional literacy and intrinsic motivation into every session, in a non-judgmental environment that promotes trust and relationships.

Nature-based learning

Play-based sessions in natural settings help students make choices, take managed risks and develop creativity through student-led learning.

Personalised support

We work with SENCos to establish goals linked to EHCPs and individual targets, tailored to the specific needs of each learner.

School collaboration

We collaborate closely with SENCOs and staff to deliver carefully planned, quality-assured, outcome-focused sessions.

Engagement & reporting

We monitor attendance and engagement, share meaningful assessments, and produce annual Impact Reports.
