Our Forest School site with Twyford St Mary's Primary School
Connection, Growth, Exploration, Sustainability
Our Forest School site is situated in the grounds of Hunter's Park in Twyford and is owned and managed by Twyford Parish Council. An area within this site has kindly been donated to Twyford St Mary's Primary School who use it for outdoor learning activities. The area that we use for our Forest School is made up of trees and Shrubs that border the site and it has extensive open grass land, and a fire circle.

Learning about the wildlife that inhabits the eco-system of our Forest School site is an important aspect of our teaching and learning. The participant’s interactions and relationship with the Forest School space will be the corner stone for all of the work, learning, play and self-development which will take place.
The powerful connections we make with our environment is known as "Environmental Identity".
At Canopy Forest School we learn to identify and learn the key characteristics of our woodland ecosystem. We also learn how to make positive, long term impacts which will support the health of the site.
Our Ecological Impact
Our Eco-logical Impact Report
This report is a formal system which identifies and creates an inventory of all the flora and fauna that exist in the area, the topography , substratum, site history/antiquity, site ownership, management and protection.
This process evaluates the factors which will support and enhance our interactions with this space.
